About Us
Why?
As the school year went on, I realized there weren't many contractors or companies in the area willing to do smaller general handyman jobs or wanting to work closely with the people of Central PA (namely Centre, Clearfield, Blair, and Huntingdon Counties). I decided to start "Avvampato Home Improvement" as a way to improve client's quality of life in my own way and to get to know the local community.
As I started down the road of entrepreneurship, I frequently asked myself the question "why?". I believe the community and the hard-working people in it deserve a company they can trust to always deliver what is promised, and to follow up with any projects, maintenance, and/or advice they may need.
I truly believe my skills and tenacious work ethic can extend beyond the students I teach, and I wish to improve the surrounding community in my own way.
Who I Am...
My story starts out in Western Pennsylvania where I attended California University of Pennsylvania. I was studying to become a Technology Education Teacher (formerly Industrial Arts). In the summers, I landscaped and worked in construction until graduation. I fell in love with teaching and wanted to gain a new perspective away from what I was used to.

In 2014, I moved away from home to teach and share my knowledge and skills of the building and technology trades. I taught in Maryland for two years, when I realized just how much I missed being close to home and everything I've ever known. I knew I wanted to return to Pennsylvania to continue my teaching career.
I've been teaching in Central Pennsylvania for four years, and I absolutely love teaching. I use my business in the Summer as an opportunity to use the skills and experience I've earned throughout the years and to build on my knowledge of new and emerging techniques in the Construction and Remodeling fields.
